Bacon Wrapped Dates And Figs With Goat Cheese

10 Medjool Dates, pitted
10 Figs
1 small package of Goat Cheese
10 strips of nitrate free, uncured Bacon
20 toothpicks soaked in water for 20min

Preheat oven to 400. Line a pan with parchment paper. Cut strips of bacon in half. Fill each date with about a teaspoon of goat cheese. Not so much that they are overflowing. Pinch closed, wrap with bacon and secure with a toothpick. Make a small slice in figs, don't cut all the way through. Carefully pull apart to make a small hole for 1/2 teaspoon of goat cheese. Wrap each fig in bacon and secure with a toothpick. Make sure to bake the figs cheese side up. Place wrapped figs and dates on the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking after 15 minutes. Once browned blot on a paper towel and serve warm. Enjoy!
